Chamber of Commerce Hawaii Rice Drive on Friday, April 28 11:30 am-1:30 pm at Tamarind Park

The Chamber is hosting a Rice Drive on Friday, April 28 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at Tamarind Park in Downtown Honolulu in conjunction with reaching our milestone membership goal of 2,107 members in 2017. Help donate & collect 2,017 pounds of rice for the Hawaii Foodbank to fulfill one of our top five most requested food items.

To commemorate doubling their membership and reaching their goal of 2,017 members in 2017, Hawaii Chamber of Commerce is collecting 2,017 pounds of rice!

Please plan on dropping by your bags of rice, one of Hawaii Foodbank's top 5 most-wanted donation items, at Tamarind Park.

Or, you may drop off your donation at the Chamber Office at 1132 Bishop Street, Suite 2105 or bring it with you the
 next event.

Everyone who drops off a minimum of 5 lbs. of rice will receive a *COCHI giveaway. The first 5 to drop off 25 lbs. of rice will each receive a mini wireless speaker.

*COCHI is the Chamber's mascot!

Hawaii Pet Expo 2017

Donations of nonperishable food items are being accepted at the door to benefit the Hawaii Foodbank.

In celebration of both National Pet Week and Be Kind to Animals Week during May 7-13, 2017, the Hawaii Veterinary Medical Association (HVMA) proudly presents HAWAII PET EXPO 2017 to be held at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center Exhibition Hall on Saturday and Sunday, May 13 & 14, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This year’s theme is "People Who Care Take Their Pet to the Vet."

ADMISSIONIS FREE.  Pets are welcome – dogs must be leashed and pets must be in good health and under their owner’s control at all times. Attendees are encouraged tobring their cameras to take advantage of the numerous photo opportunitiesavailable at this annual fun-filled event.  Call (808) 845-1762 for moreinformation.

Ohana Gives Back: Hawaii Roofing Philanthropy Program

For every registered free inspection & assessment administered, Ohana Construction, Inc. will donate $10 to Hawaii Foodbank.

For every project approved, an additional $100 will be donated.

The Tread for Bread Program is designed to promote a healthy lifestyle and to reinforce the concept of renewable energy through personal responsibility and sharing. GreenFleet Hawaii encourages Hawaii residents not to “waste their extra calories” but to donate them to the Hawaii Foodbank.

Simply track the distance you accumulate on a daily basis from walking, running or hiking, input the date into your GreenFleet pedometer app and calculate the amount of calories you burn. We'll "store" your donated calories and at the end of each quarter we will weigh all donated calories from all Tread for Breaders and make a donation to the Hawaii Foodbank.

Davis Levin Livingston in Honolulu have started a Hawai'i Humanitarian Scholarship for local High Schools students who spend time volunteering and giving back to their community.

Too often, such good deeds go unnoticed. The $5,000 Scholarship is an effort to notice and reward a graduating high school student who has been a leader in making Hawai'i a better place.

The collection consists of a limited edition of 100 coins, rolled with a decorative impression of Hawaii Foodbank's design. Each coin includes a clear plastic holder with a numbered insert.
All proceeds from coin sales will be funded toward Hawaii Foodbank's mission to feed our island ohana.
