Agency Relations Assistant

Department: Operations – Agency Relations
Reports to: Community Programs Manager

Position Summary:

The Agency Relations Assistant plays an active role in assisting with the implementation of Service Insights and The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) Reach & Resilience Grant. In addition the role will be supporting Hawai‘i Foodbank’s network of 150+ agency partners working closely with nonprofits, community organizations, churches and other groups who serve those experiencing food insecurity. This position reports to the Community Programs Manager and works within a collaborative team structure in the Agency Relations Department. The Agency Relations Assistant is detail oriented with excellent communication and organization skills. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in departmental procedures and policies and will be able to actively discover new ways to do the job more efficiently.

Director of Advocacy

Department: Impact Development
Reports to: Vice President & Chief Impact Officer

Position Summary:

The Director of Advocacy is responsible for managing a multi-faceted advocacy program in support of Hawaiʻi Foodbank’s mission. The Director provides strategic leadership, as well as day-to-day support for all aspects of the Foodbank’s advocacy program, including collaborating with various community stakeholders to drive successful action, advocating for funding for anti-hunger, anti-poverty, and health equity intervention legislative initiatives at the county, state and federal levels. The Director works with internal staff, other nonprofits and food systems organizations, and external partners to expand a growing center of data, expertise, resources and capacity to move the food security agenda at multiple levels.

Through successful education, testimony, relationship-building and advocacy, the Director will elevate the voice of individuals and families struggling with hunger and food insecurity, resulting in meaningful impact and policy change. The Director communicates extensively externally and internally in both verbal and written formats and is highly strategic and detail-oriented.

The Director is a member of the Leadership Team, working closely with peers to advance the strategic work of the Foodbank. With other members of the Foodbank team, the Director is involved with events, and other projects, as assigned. The Director must demonstrate an active commitment to the Hawaiʻi Foodbank mission in all aspects of daily work.

Program Support Assistant

Department: Operations
Reports to: Kupuna Programs Manager

Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Kupuna Programs Manger, the Program Support Assistant will actively work to support both the Commodity Supplemental Food Program and the Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program. The position will also assist in the administrative support of the Agency Relations Department to support and expand the network of Agency Partners in the community.

Warehouse Support

Position Summary: The Warehouse Support position performs an array of warehouse operational functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, and managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse.

Programs Data Entry Assistant

Department: Programs – Agency Relations
Reports to: Community Programs Manager

Position Summary: The Programs Data Entry Assistant plays an active role in assisting with the collection, analysis and reporting of information driving data-informed decisions in support of our mission. The Assistant is primarily responsible for the processing of all monthly reports for the programs team, including follow-up for any delinquent accounts and will address any corrective actions as needed. This position reports to the Community Programs Manger and works within a collaborative team structure in the Agency Relations Department.

Events and Partnerships Coordinator

Department: Impact – Development
Reports to: Director of Corporate Relations & Partnerships

Position Summary:

The Events and Partnerships Coordinator serves Hawai‘i Foodbank’s mission by cultivating impactful partnerships through engaging fundraising events, sponsorships and campaigns to meet and build on the organization’s fundraising goals. The position leads the daily coordination and logistics of Hawai‘i Foodbank’s major fundraising events and initiatives, including but not limited to Annual Food Drive Day, Great Chefs Fight Hunger and various cause marketing campaigns. The Coordinator is also responsible developing and growing the relationships of our event partners and corporate sponsors; working closely with the Director of Corporate Relations & Partnerships to develop and drive a comprehensive corporate partnership and engagement strategy in alignment with the organization’s mission, vision, and strategic plan.

The Events and Partnerships Coordinator is a member of the Development, Marketing and Communications team. As this position plays a vital role in our work with internal and external parties, the Coordinator must be a skilled communicator (both verbal and written), collaborative, detail-oriented, and passionate about forging and nurturing long term partnerships for the organization. This individual also represents the Foodbank through internal and external activities, which may include evenings and weekends. The Coordinator must demonstrates an active commitment to Hawai‘i Foodbank’s mission in all aspects of daily work.
