The nation's largest single-day food drive to help feed needy families and children during the summer months will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018. During the first two weeks of May, Letter Carriers will place blue collection bags sponsored by the Hawaii State AFL-CIO, McDonalds of Hawaii, Menehune Water Company and Honolulu Freight Service mail boxes statewide.
In 2017, over 412,046
pounds of food were collected on Oahu and Kauai; 13,784 pounds were attributed to collections on Kauai.
