Hawaii Foodbank Member Agencies

The Hawaii Foodbank is a nonprofit organization that works to provide food so that no one in Hawaii
goes hungry – a daunting task. But we can’t fight hunger alone. According to the Hunger in America
2010 report by Feeding America, of the 183,500 different people in Hawaii, over 14% of our population
is receiving emergency food assistance through the Hawaii Foodbank member agency network.

 The Foodbank collects, salvages, and distributes grocery and household items to other 501(c)3
nonprofit agencies that provide direct services to the needy. These nonprofits are an essential link
between the Foodbank and Hawaii's hungry. Member agencies receive food and other products from
our warehouse and distribute them free of charge to people in need including the unemployed,
homeless, elderly, young, disabled, mentally and/or physically challenged and working poor.
